Antibes beaches: 5 places for sand, old walls and the Cap
Antibes has something Nice mostly does not: sand. Do not get too excited; everyone else has heard about it.

La Gravette
Sand, protected by the old walls and easy from the port. A practical family option and a swim that does not require an expedition.
Ponteil
A long sandy beach with shallow water and summer facilities. More practical than secret, which is sometimes exactly what you need.
La Salis
Sand and shallow water at the foot of Cap d’Antibes, near the Calvaire path to the Garoupe. Swimming plus a walk works very well here.
La Garoupe
Small beaches and coves near the start of the Tirepoil coastal path. Prettier, tighter and with some unsupervised areas.
Juan-les-Pins
A long stretch of sandy public and private beaches with plenty of services. Not wild. Easy.
On the Riviera, a “secret” beach with a car park, a map pin and three thousand reviews is not very secret. Choose the time of day instead.
