Musée Bonnard

It is the only museum in the world dedicated to Bonnard. For once, a brochure sentence is genuinely useful, so we will keep it.

LES NIÇOISES SAY

Small compared with the cultural giants, but deeply connected to its territory. Bonnard found in Le Cannet the light and landscape that fed much of his later work.

Why we go

The museum focuses on Pierre Bonnard and his connection with Le Cannet, where he lived for many years. Displays change regularly, with major loans and temporary exhibitions.

What to actually look at

Do not arrive expecting one permanent display frozen all year. Check the current show first. The 2026 Bonnard exhibition is listed through 31 October.

PRACTICAL

Open Tuesday to Sunday. July and August: 10am to 8pm. Full price listed at €8. The museum closes during some changeover periods. Checked August 2026.

Le Cannet is not Cannes. That is also why one can breathe a little better.
