A monographic museum that does not feel like an archive room. The facade, mosaics, gardens and large compositions announce themselves immediately.
Why we go
The museum grew from a project led by Nadia Léger and Georges Bauquier after the artist’s death. The French state later received the building, garden and nearly 350 works. The collection runs from Cubist experiments to major colour compositions, ceramics and monumental projects.
What to actually look at
Start with the facade. Yes, before the ticket desk. Inside, watch what Léger does with colour, objects, the city and the machine. The 2026 exhibition around The Creation of the World brings ballet and stage design into the mix.
Open daily except Tuesday. July and August: 10am to 6pm continuously. Full exhibition price listed at €10. Checked August 2026.
