Le Cavendish is a 34-room four-star boutique hotel in a Belle Époque building on Boulevard Carnot. The Croisette and Palais des Festivals are listed around five minutes away on foot.
It keeps its period lift and parquet floors and feels far more domestic than the seafront palaces. Guests are also offered an evening aperitif. Finally, a public policy we can support.
A more human-scale option if you want Cannes on foot without financing an army of valets every evening.
Why we keep it
The smaller scale changes the experience. This feels like a city hotel rather than a festival infrastructure with bedrooms attached.
It is particularly interesting if you want Cannes but would rather spend the difference at dinner than on another twenty square metres of lobby.
