Maison Albar - Le Victoria
A new luxury hotel in Nice has to work quite hard to impress us. The rooftop is doing a lot of the work.

Opened in late 2024 between Place Masséna and the Promenade des Anglais, Le Victoria goes unapologetically for contemporary grand-hotel luxury. It lists 102 rooms and 30 suites, with sea or hinterland views depending on category.
Upstairs, an infinity rooftop pool and restaurant. Downstairs, the Oria spa with roughly 600 sq m of wellness space, an indoor pool, hammam and sauna. Subtle? Not especially. Convenient when you want everything under one roof? Very.
The new-money cousin, in the best possible sense: central, heavily equipped and with a pool that understands perfectly well why Instagram exists.
Why we keep it
The location is brutally efficient. Masséna, the Carré d'Or, the Promenade and Old Nice are all within easy walking distance.
The rooftop-and-spa combination gives you an actual reason to spend time in the hotel, useful when the room rate deserves to be amortised by more than eight hours of sleep.

Who it suits
- You want a very central, very recent five-star hotel.
- A rooftop pool and spa are genuinely part of your plan.
- You prefer contemporary comfort to old-house charm.
Mèfi if...
- You want a small Niçois hotel full of patina.
- You are keeping the budget restrained.
- You spend every waking hour outside. You will be paying for quite a lot of equipment you barely use.
