Hôtel Palais de la Méditerranée
A giant Art Deco façade and a pool facing the sea. At least nobody is pretending to be modest.

Palais de la Méditerranée occupies one of the Promenade's most recognisable façades. The hotel, now part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, entered a new chapter in 2026 after another renovation phase.
It lists 145 rooms and 28 suites, with a heated indoor-outdoor pool and a large terrace facing the Mediterranean. This is grand seafront hotel territory: unapologetic, central and highly practical.
For people who want the Promenade, a proper pool and full grand-hotel services without pretending they discovered a boutique hideaway behind a ficus.
Why we keep it
The location needs little explanation: sea in front, centre behind, Old Nice walkable. For a short stay, it is an efficient piece of logistics.
The indoor-outdoor pool is genuinely useful outside the months when the Mediterranean is warm enough for you to stop pretending not to shiver.
