LES NIÇOISES SAY

Cannes property prices are not an ingredient. If they end up on the bill, at least demand that the fish is good.

Table 22 par Noël Mantel

For worked Mediterranean cooking in the streets of Le Suquet.

Noël Mantel serves gastronomic Mediterranean cooking shaped by seasonal produce. The restaurant sits on rue Saint-Antoine, where Cannes suddenly looks like a town rather than a red carpet.

Aux Bons Enfants

For the family institution and produce from Forville market.

Since 1935, the Giorsetti family has served generous Provençal cooking using local produce. Four generations later, the place still has not needed an “authentic” neon sign on the wall.

Open Tuesday to Saturday in 2026, closed Thursday lunchtime. The restaurant says it does not accept bank cards. Yes, in 2026. You will survive.

Astoux et Brun

For shellfish and seafood at an institution founded in 1953.

Astoux et Brun is one of Cannes’ best-known seafood institutions. Cannes Tourism traces it back to a wholesale seafood business before the house began serving shellfish and crustaceans on site.

No reservations according to the restaurant. There may be a wait. Mèfi, waiting twenty minutes is not a human-rights violation.

Cannes can be excellent at the table. You simply have to accept that the restaurant most visible from your sun lounger is not necessarily the one that thought hardest about your dinner.
